Tonight our Bronx Bombers are out in the thin air of Denver, facing the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. And look, while it ain't the classic rivalry with the Sox or a subway series, every single game for the New York Yankees is a must-win. That's just how we operate.
Tonight, we got Clarke Schmidt on the mound for us. He's gotta be sharp, gotta keep that ball down, and not let those Rockies get comfortable at the plate. They might not be world-beaters, but in their home park, they can put up runs in a hurry. And word on the street is they're trotting out a rookie, Tanner Gordon, for his big league debut. You know what that means for our guys, right? Gotta make him feel like he's back in Little League, jump on him early and often.
So you wanna know how our boys from the Bronx usually fare out there in the thin air of Denver? It's a good question, because Coors Field ain't like any other ballpark.

Historically, the Yankees and Rockies don't play each other all that often, being in different leagues. The all-time record between the two teams is pretty close, with the Rockies holding a slight edge over the Yankees overall, or vice-versa depending on the source. Some say the Rockies are 13-15 against the Yankees, others say the Yankees have a 12-10 series edge. Either way, it's not a dominant performance either way for our Yankees.
Now, specifically at Coors Field, it's a different story. The Rockies actually have a winning record against the Yankees in Denver, typically going 7-4 or so. This tells you that Coors Field effect is real, folks. The ball flies, pitchers struggle, and the Rockies, who are built to play in that environment, can make life tough for visiting teams.
So, while the Yankees might be a powerhouse overall, when they step into Coors, it's a different kind of challenge. It's not a sure thing, and you usually see some high-scoring games. It's less about dominant pitching and more about who can out-slug the other guy.
It's a good reminder that even the best team in baseball has to adjust to the conditions, and Coors Field is a beast. But hey, our Yankees are hot, and they're ready for any challenge. They'll adjust, they'll hit the ball, and they'll still go for the win. You can count on that!
Next 9, Rockies Angels Dodgers

6-3 seems fair, that would put them at 36-22 entering June
And June starts with a bang
3 home Cleveland
3 home Boston
3 away KC
3 away Boston
The hard part of the Yankees schedule is in the 1st half, very lite Aug and Sept
AND THEN THE YANKEES #RepBX HEAD TO COORS FIELD TO PLAY THE WORST TEAM IN BASEBALL THE #Rockies WHO THEY SHOULD 🧹 LMAO 😂 WHO DO U THINK WINS GAME 1?! LOL @Yankees @Rockies
